#Hillaryscrafternoon Crafts

After being unable to attend the #Hillaryscrafternoon event in Glasgow last month, I was sent a goodie bag of items to create a book cover and some birds using fabric from Hillarys.  Hillarys had embarked on a four city crafts roadshow in March, more information about the roadshow is available here.  As my Mum enjoys sewing too, we completed these together.  This is what we made, using the instructions provided for us from The Crafty Hen.

Reusable Fabric Book Cover

Fold the material around the book and pin in place
Fold the bottom and the top edges. Fold the side edge and pin in place.

We had a great time completing these lovely crafts.  It was great to make something different that was not too difficult with my Mum.  We really liked the fabrics that Hillarys sent us, especially the blue and white fabric.  We had a really enjoyable crafternoon!

Disclaimer:  We were sent some fabric and a sewing kit in a fabric bag from Hillarys Blinds to complete these crafts for the purposes of this post.  All opinions are honest and my own.

Oh I love these! I’m just terrible at crafts, I’m trying really hard now that I’ve got kids but I don’t think it’s going to be long before they are better at it than me 😉
