We have been thinking about doing something more adventurous for our two week break away this year. The Ski School in Meribel looks like a great place to visit for our first skiing holiday.
Outdoor and Adventurous Activities
As my son is getting older, he is becoming more and more adventurous. From walking holidays to taking part in outdoor activities, such as climbing rock walls, raft building and using zip wires, he is certainly embracing these new activities.
He has recently asked whether we could go skiing for our holiday this year. I must admit that I have never been skiing before but I know plenty of people that regularly go skiing and snowboarding and they absolutely love it. Several people I know spend a couple of weeks skiing each January as they enjoy it so much.
First Time Skiing
I think that it is very important to go on a skiing holiday and to know that there will be somebody there who can show you what you need to do. It is also important to know the safest routes to ski in the area that you have chosen. We are also considering going with someone we know that has been before.
The Ski School in Meribel, France
We have been looking at the Ski School in Meribel, France. I think this would be an excellent place to start our skiing adventure. This Ski School in Meribel has options available for many different levels of experience for children and adults. My family would, of course, need to start to learn the basics first.
Qualified ski instructors, who know that area well, are on hand to help with all levels of ski experience. They can also teach snowboarding lessons. This company offers a more personal approach to ski lessons, with options for small groups of children, small groups of adults, private lessons and ski lessons with friends and family. I think that this would suit our family, plus other families, well. I think The Ski School in Meribel would be a wonderful place to increase our confidence.
Have you been skiing before? Do you have any tips for first time skiers?
