Salted Caramel Florentines Review

We have had lots of lovely new snacks and treats to try this month, including these Salted Caramel Florentines from Thomas J Fudge (RRP £3.50).  H and I were unable to try these as they contain milk.  Although my son and parents were sympathetic, they were secretly pleased as it meant there were more for them to eat.

Each box contains eight chocolate, nut and salted caramel flavoured Florentines.   We really liked the packaging design.  I got a plate out to put the Florentines on but on opening the box, there was a lovely tray that they were already in.  The plate was quickly returned to the cupboard.  Less washing up is always good.

As H and tucked into our strawberries from the garden and some gingerbread men, S, Mum and Dad tried the Florentines.

Unfortunately S did not really like them as they contained nuts and he doesn’t like nuts.  Mum and Dad REALLY enjoyed them though.

I might just try another Florentine, to make sure they all taste the same.

They said that they liked the nutty, crunchy texture.  They said that it reminded them a bit of homemade fruity flapjack.  The chocolate was creamy and the salted caramel went well with all the tastes.  Unfortunately, these treats were described as, “Moreish,” which translates as, “Sorry but there are none left now, we ate them all.”

All gone!

Have you tried these Salted Caramel Florentines or any other Thomas J Fudge treats?  Which are your favourites?

Disclosure: We were given a pack of Florentines to try for the purposes of this review.  All opinions are honest and my own/from my family who tried them.
