We were recently introduced to Korean inspired cooking with beef and lamb.  Korean cooking is a very popular trend at the moment and Simply Beef and Lamb’s Korean recipes are a great way to get experimenting with different recipes in this trend.  It is Korean New Year on 28th January so we thought we’d try some of these recipes out.

Easy Dairy Free and Egg Free Lasagne Recipe

#liveslow Dairy Free and Egg Free Lasagne Recipe http://dillydrops.co.ukI have not been able to find and easy dairy free and egg free lasagne recipe so I thought that I’d make one myself.  This one is based on a recipe that my Mum has made for years but is tailored to my food intolerances.  It does not contain dairy, eggs, bell peppers or chilli peppers.

As a single parent, I like to make recipes that are value for money and are nutritious for my growing children.  My Granddad was a dairy and chicken farmer, who dedicated his life to the family farm.  I have always made sure that I have bought British, farm assured meats from the supermarket or buy meat from the local butchers.  I always look out for the Red Tractor mark.  This recipe is part of the live slow campaign.

What is Slow Living?

The idea of living slow was brought about as a reaction to fast food in the 1980s.  Food should not always be fast food and should be made at the right speed, not necessarily slowly.  This Slow Movement is about valuing quality over quantity and long term benefits over short term gain.   The basic principles of utilitarianism are also a part of this, with the well being of the many being prioritised over the well being of the few.
