We were sent another box of wonderful craft items from Bostik to design our own crafts for Valentine’s Day.
My son knew straight away that he wanted to use the Bostik Micro Dots to decorate the wooden heart. He gathered the wooden heart, the Bostik Micro Dots, three foam hearts and the sparkly card. He also used a thin piece of ribbon.
Step 1: Use the plain side of the sparkly card to draw around the wooden heart twice. We made sure that we put the straight edges of the heart right to the edge of the card so that we didn’t waste any.
Step 2: Cut out the hearts on the sparkly card.
Step 3: Cut out the heart shapes on the Bostik Micro Dots. Stick the Micro Dots to the white side of the sparkly card.
Step 4: Peel the Bostik Micro Dots clear backing to expose the glue dots. Stick onto the white side of the card. The Micro Dots make it into a big sticker.
Step 5: Stick the sparkly heart to the wooden heart on one side to make it sparkle! Do the same with the other piece of card on the other side of the wooden heart. Make sure you use any off cuts of the Micro Dots sheets to cover the whole of the white sides with the glue dots.
Step 6: Ensure you have enough ribbon to go all the way around the edge of the wooden heart. Cover the edges of the wooden heart with Bostik Glu Dots (which are bigger than the Micro Dots) and stick the ribbon all the way round the wooden, glittery heart.
Step 7: Put some Bostik Glu Dots all around the edge of the wooden heart.
Step 8: Gently push the thin ribbon onto the Glu Dots to cover the edge of the wooden heart.
Step 9: Lay the sparkly heart on the table. Use a Sharpie to write, M u m on the three separate foam hearts. Use the Micro Dots to stick them onto the sparkly heart to finish. You could always use the Glitter Glue to write over the letters M u m to add that extra sparkle!
