Recently we received our first Weekend Box for free by using a code from a fellow blogger. After going on the website to put in his details, the box was sent quite quickly. We should now have a box sent to him every two weeks. My son was very excited that he had post addressed to him. The box contained four activities for us to complete over the weekend (or whenever we liked really!). We made a miniature kite, using the materials provided. All we had to provide for it was a plastic bag. We made a map, which helped us to pay more attention to the route we walk to school everyday. We also mixed the powdered paints that were provided in a little paper envelope to mix colours on the colour wheel chart.
My son’s favourite activity was making snowball biscuits. We had a great time mixing and baking! He discovered facts about nuts using the instruction sheet. After complaining that he didn’t like nuts or coconut for the time it took to make them, I persuaded him to try them. He loved them! He even asked to have the extra coconut and icing sugar mixture that was left over!
Our first Weekend Box was a hit! My daughter even joined in with all the activities with us. If you would like to try a free Weekend Box, just type on the code REBECCA1617 into www.weekendboxclub.com.
